Joel Rea was born in 1983 and graduated from Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2003. Joel Rea is well-known as a Contemporary Surrealist Painter. He is a multi award winning artist who has exhibited Internationally and within Australia. Within the narratives of his paintings he pour in rich feelings of deep personal humility, his experiences with life’s big questions depicted with photo-surrealist imagery staged within a timeless backdrop of sublime nature. Joel Rea has exhibited his work in Australia and the United States and has been acclaimed for his oil paintings in many prestigious art awards throughout Australia.
