American artist Eric Standley, create an amazing intricate paper cut. Eric was inspired by Gothic
geometry and Islamic architectural ornamentation, but still he
has his unique individual style. Eric uses lots of layers of paper, hundred and more, roughly
1.75” deep from surface to center in order to achieve their peacefully
meditative forms. The center is comprised of drawings on top of drawings
with space between the two. Compositional goals are shared between
these layers, but are simultaneously unique. Brilliant technique and
glorious color. Elegant simplicity looks classic and precious.
