Beautiful painting on silk

Russian talented artist Elena Shirokova  was born in 1961 in Nizhny Novgorod. She use silk as a canvas to paint. She works in applied art, technique of batik in other words painting and drawing on silk. Elena  is a Member of the Artists Union of Russia and the International Association of Fine Arts (AIAP UNESCO). Now, her works are in private collections in Russia, France, Italy, Germany and Sweden.

Elena works with simple tools: nail file, toothpick, scissors, brush. Bones are first boiled, then painted with pearl nail polish and glued to the velvet. In fact, these paintings is a very complicated process. The works are unique, there isn’t any information on technology of making it, It came, as it does for artists, from intuition and inspiration.

Elena Pokusheva a landscape painter from Rusia, was born in Moscow in 1964. She graduated from Moscow State University of Culture and Arts. In her work she follows the tradition of Russian realism and she paint a landscape with experience. Since 1997 Elena Pokusheva has been the constant participant of exhibitions “Golden Brush”, “Artists of Russia”, as well as exhibitions of the Moscow region. Her works are in private collections in Europe and America.
