Tamara Bondar amazing onion art

Tamara Bondar, Ukranian talented artist create an amazing food art with onion as material. This food art is called Petrikovka onion art, or “Tsibulyana Petrikіvka” in Ukrainian. Tamara inspired by the  village Petrikovka (in Ukrainian – Petrikіvka), the birthplace of the national craft. Petrikovka folk painting were decorated nearly all objects of interior from kitchenware to textile and furniture. First Tamara created the compositions of onion and greens, then started adding twigs, other vegetables, as a result  artful vegetable paintings.

Russian born mosaicist Irina Charny who now live in California creating amazing mosaic paintings. Irina was inspired by the rich history of the medium, she strive to build a unique and personal art form on the base of classical mosaic. This medium gives her a chance to explore color, shape, and texture, to experiment with different materials, and satisfy the passion to integrate unrelated small bits into a single work of art. In addition to traditional mosaic tesserae, she is incorporate unusual materials in her work like a  mirror, pebbles, found objects, beads, buttons, wire, handmade ceramic pieces, and broken plates. Her mosaic represents harmony between Man and Nature,  bright, vivid, filled with plot content.

British 35 years old paper artist, Su Blackwell is well known for creating intricate sculptures from the pages of books. Her art-works transform books into fantastical three-dimensional forms and looks like a fairy tale. The fusion of art and literature is a key characteristic of Blackwell’s work.The sculptures are then dramatically lit and photographed to create a magical world of beauty and mischief to illustrate the stories. She  finds her books in second-hand bookshops. The literary histories and stories they contain interest her as much as the physicality of the book itself. Minor damage from age such as stains and frays add to the character of the final sculptures.
