Designer and art director in the advertising industry from Brazil, Carlos Meira  mastery assigns to paper the main role in his artistic practice, he focus on illustration, especially paper sculpture.  Carlo‘s art turns the basic flatness of a paper sheet into lively colourful bas-reliefs. It takes extreme patience to craft paper in this way. The process consists in drawing, colouring the paper, marking it, cutting it and shaping it before the final assemblage. It needs patient and gentle gestures with slow and precise movements of hands and fingers. Carlos work is simply amazing, with an incredible attention to details and the most important things, he captures the Brazilian culture in his artwork.
